The Road Sessions

The Road Sessions

The Road Sessions is an online video series brought to you by Ruach Music and Help Musicians. We record and produce live music videos with artists for free, raising the artists’ profile and growing awareness for the charity Help Musicians and their support to the music industry.

The Road Sessions began back in 2015 as a pilot series trailed at SXSW in Austin Texas, when Ruach Music decided to work alongside upcoming and existing musicians to promote their great music to followers from across the world. This offered each artist a new platform to utilize and a new audience to perform to, raising their profile further.

Many years later, the Road Sessions has evolved and gone from strength to strength. In 2018, Ruach Music partnered with Help Musicians NI, an independent UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement. This has allowed the Road Sessions to gain even further reach and has provided much greater opportunity for the artists through the various schemes of support Help Musicians offer. Having gained more influence, being featured on The Road Sessions has quickly become an aspiring goal for Northern Ireland artists.

Ruach Music

Ruach Music is a musical instrument brand, amplifying the worlds love for music. Ruach is a company at the heart of the music industry. Focusing on experience and discovery – they exist to provide quality instruments for artists to enjoy, a platform for new music to be found and a distinguished opportunity for emerging artists.

Brought up in the coastal town of Kilkeel, CEO Stephen Henderson (at the young age of 16), found his love for music and wood. He decided to build his very own cajon after playing one for the first time in a jam at his friend’s house. Why? He couldn’t afford one and secretly wanted to build his own to try and make it sound even better. The result was something that looked like it had been thrown together, but it sounded beautiful. As he progressed through school Stephen became more popular with percussionists throughout the UK, requesting that he built them custom Cajons. A theme started to occur – a kick pedal built inside the cajon.

By 2015, Stephen had expanded Ruach’s catalogue to include a total of 5 Cajons, a stompbox and accessories and by Summer 2015 had closed their first distribution deal with the globally recognised company – Korg.

Following the ethos that was founded back in 2011; Ruach continues to listen to the market creating new products they desire. these include guitars, guitar stands, pedalboards, effects pedals and more. Ruach has grown significantly over the past years with an expanding team, production facility and supply chain. They continue to innovate and amplify the worlds love for music.
